President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that Ukraine should "prepare" for Russian attacks on its infrastructure this winter, pointing to a possible increase in attacks.
" We must prepare for the possibility that the enemy will increase drone or missile attacks on our infrastructure. All our attention should be focused on infrastructure protection, on what Ukraine can do to help our people get through the winter ," he said.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Ukraine, headed by Economy Minister Yulia Sviridenko, arrived in Washington to discuss cooperation with the US and the support they can provide to the country, at a time when the war in Gaza has received all the international attention.
Zelenskiy's chief of staff Andrii Yermak, who is part of the delegation, said he will hold talks with officials in the White House, Congress and representatives of civil society.
Among the topics that will be discussed are the Ukrainian president's proposals for ending the war, strengthening Ukraine's defense " and other important issues ," he said.
