A man armed with a fake permit has been arrested outside a Donald Trump rally in California. The case is suspected to be another attempt to eliminate the former president.
Security officials at former President Donald Trump's rally discovered the weapons when they stopped a driver in a black SUV at a nearby checkpoint.
The driver, a 49-year-old male, identified as Vem Miller, was in unlawful possession of a shotgun, a loaded handgun and a high-capacity magazine.
Vem Miller was arrested "without incident" and booked into possession of a loaded firearm and possession of a high capacity magazine. Police said the meeting affected the safety of Trump or those attending the rally
The situation remains unclear however, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department will hold a press conference to provide details on the case.
