Thousands of people have been displaced into Gaza as the Israel Defense Forces continue to target Hamas positions in the Strip. This is what the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) declared.
" The number of people forced to flee their homes in search of safety has risen sharply overnight. Nearly 74,000 displaced people are now in 64 UNRWA shelters, and the number is likely to rise as fierce fighting continues. bombings and airstrikes, including civilian areas ," the agency's statement said.
The statement also states that "a UNRWA school housing displaced families in the Gaza Strip was struck today. The school, which housed more than 225 people, was heavily damaged. No casualties among the displaced were reported."
