Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that Russia could launch massive attacks against Ukraine during the Christmas period. The statement was made during a meeting with diplomats, RBC Ukraine reported.
According to Zelensky, the signals coming from Moscow constitute an attempt at intimidation, to which Ukraine will respond by increasing its intelligence capabilities and strengthening air defense.
President Zelensky stressed that Ukrainian authorities are taking measures to protect the population and critical infrastructure, while calling on international partners to continue support for the country's security.
Russia launched dozens of missiles and more than 600 drones in its airstrikes across Ukraine this morning, including the capital Kiev. At least three people were killed in the attack, including a four-year-old child.
