Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated during a press conference this afternoon that an agreement between Kiev and Washington is very close.
Zelensky revealed that his long-awaited minerals deal with the US could be signed during an online meeting on Thursday.
US President Donald Trump has pushed for a deal that would allow the US to share in the profits of Ukraine's critical natural resources and minerals.
This is what he considers debt repayment for the military aid provided by Washington to Ukraine under the previous presidency of Joe Biden.
Zelensky previously accused the US of "constantly" changing the terms of the proposed agreement, but he added that he did not want Washington to think that Kiev was against that deal.
