An incident occurred during a video conference between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and journalists, after the discussion was interrupted by a phone call from French President Emmanuel Macron.
In a video posted on the X platform, Zelensky is seen being questioned by a journalist when he suddenly picks up his cell phone and is heard saying, "Excuse me Emmanuel, I have a conversation with journalists, can I call you for 15-20 minutes?"
After a few seconds in which he apparently heard the French president's positive response, Zelensky is heard saying "yes, please, thank you Emmanuel! Goodbye!".
Journalists attending the conference then asked Zelensky if Emmanuel Macron was really on the other end of the line, with the Ukrainian president responding positively.
"Yes, I just spoke with President Macron. We talk very often, almost once a day," Volodymyr Zelensky said.
Macron unexpectedly called Zelensky while he was speaking with journalists.
