Britain will hold a closed-door meeting of senior military officers from the "coalition of the willing" today to discuss plans to deploy a peacekeeping force in Ukraine. More than 20 countries will participate, according to the BBC.
Senior military officers will gather at the United Kingdom's Permanent Joint Headquarters in Northwood.
This meeting comes after the opposition of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who declared that he will not tolerate the presence of any NATO member troops in Ukraine, regardless of their role.
Putin continues to exert pressure on what he calls "red lines," including halting military aid to Kiev and sharing Western intelligence with it.
However, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is determined to move towards what he calls the "operational phase" of planning to protect any potential Ukrainian ceasefire.
