US President Donald Trump stated in an interview with Fox News that he "intentionally did not open" the letter that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy delivered to him for Melania Trump, his wife.
According to UNN reporting, the letter was delivered sealed by Zelenskyy personally during yesterday's meeting at the White House.
Trump explained: " I intentionally didn't open it. It was given to me sealed. Melania told me it was an absolutely beautiful letter. So I'll look at it, but yesterday I gave it to her as it was. It's nice when you give something sealed. I don't like it when something goes wrong. In any case, it was a beautiful, sincere letter ."
Zelenskyy handed Trump a personal letter from his wife, Olena Zelenska, to Melania, as part of his visit to Washington and efforts to resolve the conflict with Russia. Earlier, Melania Trump herself had sent a letter to President Putin, the message of which was delivered by Trump at the meeting last week.
