The world is on the brink of a possible nuclear war. We are sleepwalking towards a nuclear world war, which will hit Europe, not America.
Ursula Von der Leyen is lying about Russian gas. But above all, we have a Europe unaware of what could happen: a tactical nuclear war with Russia, which, when it finds itself with its shoulders against the wall, can strike Western capitals, and in the first place Paris.
An apocalyptic scenario, which could become a reality if one continues to insist on a military solution to the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Most European Union countries support (with the exception of Italy) Ukraine's request to use Western weapons to strike Russian territory.
For this reason, Giulio Sapelli, a professor of economic history at the University of Milan, says Zelensky should be persuaded to carefully review his steps, in a world in which a westernized America is blocking everything while waiting for the outcome of presidential elections in November.
Ursula von der Leyen claims that at the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the Russians shut off the gas taps to Europe, which should thank the US and Norway for coming to their aid. How is such an interpretation explained?
This statement leaves aside the discovery of the last few days, that the sabotage of the "Nord Stream" gas pipeline was carried out by the Poles and Ukrainians with the support of the great powers. An operation of that kind could not be performed by amateurs. The statement of the president of the European Commission is very serious.
Machiavelli teaches us that there is a difference between politics and morality. However, it is surprising that these words are uttered by Von der Leyen herself, who is a personal investment of former German Chancellor Angela Merkel. She is a very smart woman who has built her political career with Schröder, creating a relationship with Gazprom, where the former chancellor was part of the board. So it was a joint policy by the CDU and the SPD. So such statements sound like lies, and this gives us an idea of who currently governs the EU.

He continues to export, even to Ukraine. Today, Kiev has the opportunity to fight because it has Russian gas. I don't believe that American gas arrives there, which we have to buy by building special terminals.
Is the Russian gas strategy a sign of European policy failure?
It was one of the few good things of the EU, which had enabled a kind of relationship with Russia, without which it is difficult to imagine the development of Europe. Gas from Norway, Algeria and the use of non-fossil energy cannot guarantee a great economic power like the EU and the sustainability of its economy.
This policy of cooperation with Moscow was born in the context of a difficult situation and guaranteed peace, ensuring a peaceful transition from Soviet imperialism to that of Gorbachev's reforms. It has been a blessing for world peace.
The EU is debating whether or not the Ukrainians can use Western weapons to attack Russia. What do you think about it?

According to him, local conflicts should be encouraged to indirectly weaken the opponent. It is now thought that a conventional war could be fought on the territory of a nuclear power. But it is enough to read the Russian strategic documents of the last 15 years. They say that without Ukraine and Crimea, Russia cannot survive as an empire, and in the event of an invasion of Russian territory, the response will be a war with tactical nuclear weapons.
And what would be the consequences?
This means that the Russians will hit European cities. Moscow has the lead in hypersonic missiles, and if we continue on this path, it will surely hit European cities. Until today we have been safe because of the Pope's influence. But after Macron's statements that he is ready to send the French army to Ukraine, we already know who the Russians will hit. Ukrainians have already entered part of Russia, and the world is on the brink of war.
Are there people today who think about negotiations?
I'm sure negotiations are going on behind the scenes. But the real problem is that Zelensky needs to take a few steps back. And for this he must be advised by his Western allies. We must do this because we are against Putin, not because we are with him.
Meanwhile, is the handling of this issue by the US a sign of weakness?
Americans are completely careless about this issue, as they make their foreign policy dependent on their domestic policy. According to them, the responsibility for world peace is in the hands of the United States, everything else is bad. They are world leaders, but they think they are unipolar leaders.
David Calleo, the only American Catholic scholar of international relations, predicted in his book on the consequences of the folly of American unipolarity in foreign policy. Can we continue to depend on American election campaigns? I hear people saying that we should wait to see what the Americans decide in November. A madness.
But do Americans understand that their leadership is weakening? That their role will change in the new world order?
No, they don't notice this. But the main problem lies with those who are not North Americans. So to those who are allies of the USA. They must persuade America to return to being a power that has global responsibilities, even if that does not mean that they must command alone as they once did.
Multilateralism must be combined with the recognition of North American dominance, which is nevertheless hegemonic today, because the US no longer has the culture and intellectuals to achieve it.
