Four people have lost their lives as a result of the crash of a small plane in Upper Austria, local media reports.
The plane crashed near the Kasberg ski resort in the Gmunden district. According to the police of Upper Austria, the victims have not yet been identified.
The search for the plane was launched around 12:00 p.m., when the plane disappeared from radar. Search and rescue efforts were hampered by winter conditions, police spokeswoman Barbara Riddle told APA.
Emergency services found the wreckage of the plane in a snow-covered ski area. The authorities have launched investigations to discover the causes, which are suspected to have caused the tragedy with four victims.
