The United States expects three Americans to be among the 50 Israeli hostages to be released, but none of them will be on the list of hostages to be released by Saturday.
"None of the Americans held hostage are among those to be released, but we still hope that the three will come out with the first 50 that have been agreed," a US official told NBC News.
On October 7, when Hamas attacked Israel, killing at least 1,200 people, at least according to reports from Israeli authorities, 240 people were taken hostage.
Initially, 4 hostages were released, while another hostage from the Israeli army. According to an agreement reached this week, at least 50 hostages will be released. Yesterday, 13 people of Israeli nationality, 10 of Thai nationality and one Filipino were released.
