The Turkish Ministry of Defense has launched a barrage of provocative videos on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the occupation of Cyprus.

"Don't call me with such a heart, I may come suddenly one night...", is the lyrics of the song that starts one of the posts of the ministry, which in festive tones highlights the Turkish armed forces.

The video shows an army conducting an operation approaching a coast, while a painting of Muhammad II the Conqueror entering Constantinople is inserted in the closing.

"On the 50th anniversary of Operation Joyful Peace, we honor with gratitude and respect the heroic martyrs and veterans of our heroic army who put an end to the oppression experienced by our Turkish exiles in Cyprus. Tomorrow we are waiting for all our Cypriot brothers in the parade which will take place with the participation of 50 ships", the announcement states.

A little earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Turkey published another video, which, among other things, shows footage from the Turkish invasion in 1974 as well as current footage of the army. Happy 50th anniversary of Operation Happy Peace, where our Heroic Turkish Armed Forces brought peace and security to Cyprus.

We honor our martyrs and veterans with mercy, gratitude and respect and always feel the pain of our compatriots who were brutally killed by the Greek terrorist organization," the statement said.
