With an annual military budget exceeding $20 billion and access to some of the most advanced US military equipment, Israel controls the skies and much of the sea around its territory and has superior cyber capabilities.
As Iran launched a massive wave of drone and missile attacks on Israel on Saturday, the Israeli military showed that their country is a true fortress and cannot be penetrated by airstrikes. This is due to the advanced air defense system.
Israel's missile defense system includes a complex array of weapons that defend the country.
Since Israel last came under significant ballistic missile attack in 1991, its air defense and counterattack capabilities have improved tremendously.

Arrow

The Arrow Missile Defense System consists of the Arrow 2 and Arrow 3, which can intercept missiles launched up to nearly 1,500 miles away and above the earth's atmosphere. The Arrow network covering the top tier of Israel's air defense network was under development only in 1991.
David's kick

Another weapon I use is "David's Kick". It is designed to intercept enemy aircraft, drones, tactical ballistic missiles, medium- and long-range missiles, and cruise missiles, fired at a range of 25 to 190 miles.
Iron Dome

Iron Dome is designed to intercept and destroy short-range rockets and artillery shells fired from two to 43 miles away and whose trajectory would take them into an Israeli populated area.
The system was first used in combat in 2011. It shot down a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip, which has been under Hamas control since 2007.
Patriot

The Patriot missile system is primarily used by the US military, and the US has also sent it to several allies, including Ukraine, Poland and Israel. The Patriot system is designed to intercept aircraft and cruise missiles at ranges of up to 94 miles and altitudes of up to 19 miles.
Iron Beam

Israel is developing a new system to intercept incoming threats with laser technology. Israel has said this system will change the game because it is much cheaper to operate than existing systems. However, it is still not functional.
Over the past few years, US-Israeli missile defense cooperation has evolved to include the co-development of several systems designed to deter a diverse range of threats, from short-range missiles and missiles launched by non-state actors, like Hamas. and Hezbollah, to medium- and long-range ballistic missiles in the arsenals of Syria and Iran, according to the Jewish Virtual Library./Pamphlet
