Although Russia and the US have an ongoing dialogue through various communication channels, the Ukrainian conflict cannot be expected to be resolved overnight, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
He stated that the issue is complex and that negotiations will continue for some time, while emphasizing that setting deadlines for resolving the conflict are not effective and will not be accepted.
"We continue our contacts with the Americans through various channels. The Ukrainian settlement issue is extremely complex, of course, so it is hardly possible to set some hard deadlines and try to speed up the resolution of the conflict in a shortened timeframe. This would be a futile exercise. But the work on resolving the Ukrainian crisis is indeed ongoing," Peskov said.
