Hamas spokesman Osama Hamdan said the mediators' proposal for a cease-fire is being jeopardized by Netanyahu.
He points out that Netanyahu is determined to destroy all mediation efforts, including those of the US.
Hamdan also said that at the moment, the US has leverage to put pressure on Netanyahu and have influence.
"The agreement of the Hamas movement on the proposal of the mediators has put Netanyahu in a difficult place and made him act in a hysterical way with statements that reveal a political defeat and a strategic defeat.
The ball is now in Netanyahu's court. Their behavior and attitude after we announced our agreement reflects this criminal's determination to destroy all mediation efforts, including those of the US, and shows a disregard for the lives of the prisoners who are threatened daily by the Israeli army's bombardment.

We recall that today Netanyahu said that the ceasefire proposal accepted by Hamas does not meet the essential requirements.
