The UN denies Israel: It has not accepted the supply of fuel to Gaza

Israel announced yesterday that it would allow two fuel trucks a day to enter the Gaza Strip, but the UN has rejected the statement.

UNRWA spokeswoman Juliette Touma said the Gaza Strip is in urgent need of fuel.

"We urgently need fuel for humanitarian operations throughout the Gaza Strip. None of the trucks that have arrived since October 21 had fuel. We need at least 120,000 liters of fuel every day if UNRWA and other humanitarian aid organizations are to continue providing aid to the people in need in the Gaza Strip,” she said.

She added that 80,000 civilians need help, such as food and clothing.
