Pope Francis has called again in this Sunday's prayer for the achievement of a cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war that has led to the destruction of the lives of over 2 million people.
He added that he hoped that diplomatic channels would be followed in order to avoid further bloodshed of innocent lives.
"I keep thinking about the dire situation in Palestine and Israel where many, many people have lost their lives. In the name of God, I beg you to stop: stop the use of weapons! I hope that diplomatic channels will be followed so that an escalation of the conflict is absolutely avoided ," the Pope said on the X platform.
We recall that Pope Francis has repeatedly called for an end to the war in Gaza, as well as suggested a two-state solution with Jerusalem as a separate ethnic group.
