Seven European Union (EU) countries, including Italy, France, Germany and Spain, have jointly called on the authorities in Venezuela to quickly publish the election records to guarantee transparency regarding last weekend's elections, the Office announced. of the Italian Prime Minister.
Venezuela's Central Election Commission declared President Nicolas Maduro, who has been in power since 2013, the winner of the July 28 election with 51 percent of the vote, prompting accusations from the opposition of vote-rigging.

The joint statement of the EU countries joined the criticism from foreign countries about the way the Venezuelan Government has organized the elections.

Last week, the Group of 7 ministers expressed their solidarity with the people of Venezuela and their concerns about the outcome of the elections.
