The Republican Party is moving towards full control of the US Congress, while it needs to secure the victory of at least 6 more seats in the House of Representatives to take its lead.
The House of Representatives has 435 lawmakers, while so far the Republicans have secured 212 seats, while the Democrats have 200. If a Republican majority is confirmed, it provides President-elect Donald Trump with easy opportunities to pass legislation that represents the promises he made during the campaign.
Republicans have already secured a majority in the Senate, winning 53 seats out of 100 in total.
The only race until Saturday afternoon, where the winner has not yet been determined, is the one for the senator who will represent Arizona. Democrat Ruben Gallego has a 1.1% lead over Republican Kari Lake.
