Following reports that Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky will meet in Washington to jointly seek solutions to the Ukrainian issue, Axios reveals what they said during their call.

After wrapping up his meeting with Vladimir Putin, Trump called Volodymyr Zelenskyy from Air Force One to brief him on the summit, which failed to produce a peace deal in Ukraine. Their conversation lasted nearly 90 minutes.

As American media reveals, Donald Trump told Volodymyr Zelensky and the leaders of NATO countries that Vladimir Putin does not want a simple ceasefire, but a comprehensive agreement to end the war.

Axios journalist Barack Ravid, in a post on X, revealed that Donald Trump conveyed the following proposal to them: "I think a quick peace agreement is better than a ceasefire."

After the conversation, Volodymyr Zelensky posted on Telegram to inform the public that he would meet with Donald Trump in the United States on Monday.

On the other hand, the leaders of France, Germany, Britain, Poland and Italy prepared a joint statement after reviewing the information provided to them by Donald Trump regarding the summit with Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

"A discussion was concluded between European leaders, who assessed the information provided by President Trump and the results of the meeting in Alaska," Tusk wrote on X.

According to a European Commission spokesperson, there was a new telephone conversation between European leaders regarding the US-Russia summit.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte are among the participants, the same source said.
