Meanwhile, the United States has announced a $780 million sale of Javelin anti-tank missiles and launchers to Poland, which borders both Russia and war-torn Ukraine.
"This proposed sale will support the foreign policy and national security of the United States by enhancing the security of a NATO ally that is a force for political and economic stability in Europe," the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) announced.
The U.S. Department of State has approved the potential sale to Poland, and DSCA has provided the required notification to the U.S. Congress, which has not yet given final approval for the transaction.
