Hopes of fomenting a domestic uprising in Iran have faded significantly. According to the Wall Street Journal, American and Israeli officials assess that the Iranian regime has maintained stability even after more than three weeks of attacks, making a domestic uprising increasingly unlikely.
In this context, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stopped calling on the population to rise up against the regime. Israel has also stopped attacks on internal security forces, shifting its focus to weakening Iran's ability to rebuild its military apparatus.
The strategy now focuses on military-industrial infrastructure. According to the report, after more than 18,000 strikes carried out in coordination with the United States, weapons and missile production facilities, naval structures and research centers have been hit.
"They are striking in a very systematic and careful manner," said analyst Farzin Nadimi.
The change in approach comes as there is growing confidence that US President Donald Trump could push for an end to the conflict in the coming weeks. In this context, Israel aims to maximize results before a possible halt to operations.
According to former defense official Amir Avivi, the priorities are clear: "destruction of the military industry, elimination of commanders, and reduction of missile capabilities."
