The United States of America wants behind bars all the persons declared 'non grata' in the region. Recently, DASH has declared many individuals undesirable, including personalities from our country.
But as Sali Berisha has gone downhill, Washington wants criminal prosecution for anyone they have blacklisted.
The message was given by the American ambassador in Podgorica, Judy Reising Rajnke. She said she hopes the United States' decision to blacklist Montenegrin businessmen Miodrag Davidovic and Branislav Mićunović will encourage the prosecution and judiciary to fully investigate them and other corrupt actors. In an interview for the "Vijesti" newspaper, the ambassador stated that the fair and impartial investigation and prosecution of those accused of corruption is the key to building democracy.
" The United States has identified the fight against corruption as a fundamental interest for national security and as a foreign policy priority. Fair and impartial investigation and prosecution of those accused of corruption by the US are key to building democracy. We are proud to cooperate with Montenegrin criminal justice institutions to strengthen their personnel and technical capacities, including those necessary to successfully fight corruption and financial crime ," she said.
