Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said the United States had responded to Tehran's proposal, transmitted through Pakistan, and that Iran was considering the response.
In a live statement to Iranian state television on Sunday, Baghaei stressed that Iran's 14-point proposal focuses exclusively on ending the war in the region and does not contain nuclear issues.
"Our 14-point plan focuses exclusively on ending the war and does not contain issues related to the nuclear field," Baghaei said.
He added that at this stage, Iran's priority is to detail measures to stop the conflict, including the situation in Lebanon. The Iranian spokesman also commented that the US claims of mine clearance in the Strait of Hormuz were not essentially part of their plan.
Recall that US President Donald Trump did not express much satisfaction with the 14-point plan proposed by Iran, but added that he would consider it. The return of the response means that something is being done in the negotiations and that the parties are testing the waters of the opposing side.
