A deliberate explosion in Monaco left Ukrainian businessman Vadym Yermolayev seriously injured, while drone attacks and bombings continue to cause casualties in Ukraine and Russian-occupied territories...

Ukrainian businessman Vadym Yermolayev was seriously injured in an explosion that occurred on Monday evening in a residential building in the Principality of Monaco. According to authorities, two people suffered life-threatening injuries, while a 13-year-old was slightly injured. Sources close to the investigation confirmed to the AFP news agency that Yermolayev was among the injured.

The cause of the explosion remains unclear. Monaco's Minister of State and Head of Government, Christophe Mirmand, declared it a "deliberate explosion", after earlier talking about a possible attack. He said it was the first time such an event had occurred in the principality's history.

Meanwhile, as a result of attacks in the occupied part of the Donetsk region, at least three people were killed by Ukrainian drone strikes. According to Denis Pushilin, the head of the Russian-appointed administration, two more civilians were injured in Starobesheve, about 90 kilometers from the front line. He added that at least 11 people were injured in other attacks in the region. These claims have not been independently verified.

Meanwhile, in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv, a 23-year-old woman was killed by a Russian-made landmine. Regional governor Oleh Synyehubov said 12 other people were injured, one of them in critical condition. According to Ukrainian authorities, the bomb hit an area near the city center, causing significant damage to business buildings, enterprises and infrastructure.

In Russia, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said Russian air defenses shot down 46 Ukrainian drones overnight, including six he said were flying toward the capital. Emergency teams were dispatched to the areas where the drones fell. Last week, Russian authorities reported that they had shot down a total of 660 Ukrainian drones in two days, one of the highest numbers since the start of the war.

According to reports, Ukraine has intensified drone attacks on targets on Russian territory in recent months, mainly targeting energy infrastructure with the aim of weakening Russia's financial resources for financing the war.
