Australia has urged its citizens to leave Israel as it warns that the situation could soon worsen.
The warning comes after recent reports of an Israeli drone attack on Iran.
"There is a high threat of military retaliation and terrorist attacks against Israel and Israeli interests throughout the region. The security situation could quickly deteriorate," the foreign affairs and trade department said.
It also warned Australians in the region of airspace closures, flight cancellations and other travel disruptions.
