The representative of Russia at the UN, Vasily Nebenzia, during his speech, called on the United Nations to consider imposing sanctions on Israel due to its non-compliance with the mandatory resolutions adopted by the Security Council.
Although Russia does not stop at attacks on Ukraine, on the other hand, it demands the imposition of sanctions on Israel.
Russia's UN representative, Vasily Nebenzia, noted that UN Resolution 2728 called for a cease-fire in Gaza during Ramadan, and this had not been implemented by Israel.
" We remind you once again that non-compliance with the mandatory resolutions of the Security Council should lead to sanctions against the violators. We believe that the Council should consider this issue without delay ," said Nebenzia during a meeting of the UN Security Council.
We recall that French Foreign Minister Stephane Sejourne also called for sanctions against Israel earlier this month. In February, Paris sanctioned 28 Israeli nationals.
