
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will meet today at 09:00 with the representatives of the QUINT countries in Belgrade, Serbian media reports.
Vucic will speak with the representatives of the QUINT countries - the United States of America, Great Britain, France, Italy and Germany, as well as with the head of the European Union delegation in Belgrade about the situation in the north of Kosovo.
Vucic yesterday spoke on the phone with three US senators, Chris Murphy, Gene Shahin and Pete Ricketts about the situation in the north.
The EU's special envoy for the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Miroslav Lajčak, announced that he agrees with NATO's Deputy Secretary General, Mircea Geoană, with whom he met, that it is necessary to take steps to - urgently escalated the situation in the north of Kosovo.
The spokesperson of the European Union, Peter Stano, confirmed on Tuesday for the Express newspaper that the high representative of the EU for foreign policy and security, Josep Borrell, has presented to the member states the measures that should be taken if the prime minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, will not take steps to de-escalate the situation in the north of Kosovo.
Meanwhile, the joint meeting of the Governments of Kosovo and Albania, which was planned to be held today in Gjakovë, was canceled by the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, who said that the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, refused his request to meet in a narrower format, due to the situation.
