Storm 'Benjamin' has swept across Western Europe, leaving behind flooding and destruction from the coast of southern England to Corsica.
With winds exceeding 100 kilometers per hour and incessant rain, it also caused power outages.
In the UK, the southeast was hit hardest. In Sheerness, a leisure centre was forced to close after a tree fell on the building, while flood warnings were increased.
Bad weather also disrupted transportation and lines to France were canceled.
The wave of bad weather was not limited to the United Kingdom and France. Belgium and the Netherlands also faced heavy rain and flooding in some places.
