Greece is still dealing with the difficult situation created by the storm "Daniel". Hundreds of houses flooded, thousands of hectares of agricultural land under water, dozens missing and 4 casualties have been recorded so far.
The balance of victims is expected to increase, as in some villages dozens of people are reported missing in houses completely covered by rushing water.

In the region of Kardica, in the municipality of Palamas, villages have disappeared from the water and numerous testimonies of residents speak of missing persons, while many residents remain trapped in flooded settlements.

The heavy rains have also caused problems in the operation of the hospital in Volos, due to the interruption of electricity and the lack of drinking water.
An interruption of water supply also occurred in the city of Trikala, due to the interruption of electricity in the DEVAT water supply facility.
Meanwhile, the Municipality of Trikala has announced the free distribution of drinking water bottles and aid packages.
In addition to the residents of the area, there are also reports of many tourists stranded in the areas affected by the storm. According to the Greek authorities, 500 tourist families are reported to be stranded.
Meanwhile, in Thessaly, the General Directorate and the District Police have announced that due to unfavorable weather conditions, the circulation of vehicles has been suspended on some road axes.
According to the rainfall episode classification (RPI), which is applied by Meteo and the National Observatory of Athens, the rainfall episode for today is in Category 4 (very heavy). However, in the evening showers and local storms are expected in most of the continent, in the Ionian and in the northern Aegean, but they will gradually weaken.
