Vice President JD Vance has commented on the tense situation in the Oval Office between Trump and Zelensky. He stressed that Zelensky showed a lack of respect and unwillingness to make peace.
"Initially I tried to defuse the situation a little bit... Zelensky had a lack of respect... a sense of entitlement. He showed a clear unwillingness to engage in the peace process," Vance says, adding "he'll get there eventually ," he said.
He then accused the Ukrainian leader of being ungrateful for American aid.
Zelenskyy has thanked the United States for its support several times on his X account and during a December 2022 speech to Congress.
