
A serious incident occurred this morning in front of the Parliament building in Belgrade, where one person was injured by gunfire.
According to Serbian media reports, the injured Milan B., 57 years old, has been taken to hospital for medical assistance and is out of danger.
The perpetrator, Vladan A., 70, was immediately arrested by the authorities. He first set fire to a tent erected in front of the parliament, threw a handful of bullets inside, and then opened fire. He is charged with attempted murder and creating a public danger.
An emergency press conference is expected by President Aleksandar Vučić at noon regarding this attack. Firefighters are at the scene and are working to extinguish the flames.
