At a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Warsaw, Poland's nationalist president, Karol Nawrocki, publicly accused Ukraine of not showing gratitude for the great assistance Poland has provided since the start of large-scale Russian aggression in February 2022.
Nawrocki said that “Poles feel that our efforts and assistance in many forms have not been properly appreciated by Kiev,” referring to the hosting of more than a million Ukrainian refugees and the significant supply of weapons and humanitarian aid. He added that this concern was raised in a “frank but friendly conversation” with Zelensky.
The Ukrainian president responded by stressing that Ukraine has been and will remain grateful to Poland, noting that his country is “defending Europe from Russia at great human cost.” Zelensky also warned that Russia aims to break up the alliance between the two countries, but “we will not allow them to achieve this.”
However, Nawrocki did not clearly explain what he expects from Ukraine, although he made it clear that an important issue for Warsaw remains the massacre of about 100,000 Poles in Volhynia (1943–1945), which Poland demands that Kiev recognize as genocide and cooperate more in the exhumation of the victims. According to him, the Ukrainian authorities are avoiding historical responsibility and delaying the processes for honoring the victims.

Sepse ukrainasit ishin me nazizmin …. dhe duhet tua kujtosh ndonjehere, pastaj nuk po mbrojne europen, thesht u futi trut e gomarit Obama e Biden qe ta kruajne m Rusine, dhe me kete lufte te pasuronin nxitesit ( qeveritaret ukrainas) te dobesonin europen dhe rusine njeheresh…
