
A serious incident has occurred in the northeastern region of Spain, Catalonia, where five people have died and four others have been injured as a result of a fire in a residential building.
According to the Spanish news agency EFE, it is suspected that the victims were young and some of them may have been minors. The full identification process was expected to be completed during the morning, while some of the bodies were found carbonized.
The fire broke out in a warehouse inside a five-story building in the town of Manlleu, with around 21,000 inhabitants, in the Osona region, north of Barcelona.

According to firefighters, for reasons still unclear, the people inside the warehouse were unable to leave in time.
Catalan police have launched investigations to determine the causes of the fire, while authorities are working to clarify all the circumstances of the event, which has shocked the local community.
