19 people were rescued, among them eight children, the youngest of whom is only 30 days old.
The rescue operation began when three migrants found themselves in the city of Chios this morning and informed the authorities about people stranded on the rocky shore of Kardamylos, Chios.
The forces of the Port Authority of Chios and the Port Station of Kardamylos tried to arrive at the scene, while the search was also carried out by sea with three boats and a helicopter of the Coast Guard.
