Trump: Iranians want us to bomb them
Donald Trump

United States President Donald Trump is answering questions from reporters from the White House, where he has defended his approach to war with Iran and issued strong statements about the situation in the country.

Asked how he would react if the Iranian people rose up against the regime, Trump openly spoke in support of such a scenario.

" They have to do this ," he said, adding that the consequences would be "huge."

The US president rejected criticism of his military plan, stressing that every action has been thought out in detail.

"Everything has been thought of by us," he declared.

Asked about the potential consequences of strikes on civilian infrastructure in Iran, Trump argued that the Iranian population is willing to endure hardship in exchange for political change.

" They are willing to suffer to have freedom ," he said.

He added that the United States has intercepted communications that, according to him, show that Iranian citizens are calling for continued strikes against the regime.

Regarding the rescue operation of the American servicemen, Trump admitted that not everyone within the military agreed with the intervention.

" There were people in the military who said you shouldn't do this ," he said, warning that the risk of heavy casualties was real.

However, he stressed that the final decision was his.

"I decided to do it," Trump declared, adding that, despite the risk, he considered the operation justified.

His statements reflect a clear line of the US administration: support for maximum pressure on Iran and a willingness to make high-risk decisions on the ground.
