US President: US could strike Iran as early as tomorrow...
United States President Donald Trump appeared at a press conference at the White House where he is speaking about the latest developments in the war with Iran, issuing one of the strongest statements to date.
He said that Iran could " disappear overnight ," adding that such an operation could happen "as early as tomorrow evening ," if such a decision were made.
During the conference, Trump stressed that the United States is performing "extraordinarily well" in the framework of Operation "Epic Fury", which he described as an intervention on an unprecedented level.
The president focused specifically on the rescue operation of a US pilot who had been stranded in Iranian territory for about 48 hours. He said a large-scale military operation was mobilized, including using diversionary tactics to deceive Iranian forces about the real location.
" In an extraordinary demonstration of skill and precision, the U.S. military intervened in the live area, engaged the enemy, rescued the officer, and neutralized any threat ," Trump declared.
According to him, the operation was carried out without losses for the American side, despite the rescue forces facing heavy fire and a helicopter being hit.
He also provided details on the scale of the intervention, mentioning the use of 155 aircraft, including bombers, fighter jets, air-to-air tankers and rescue vehicles.
" Nobody else has the equipment that we have. We are the most powerful military in the world, by a wide margin ," the US president stressed.
His statements, made live from the press conference, come at a time of high tension and suggest that the US administration is keeping open the option of a rapid escalation of the conflict.
