Donald Trump has arrived in the UK. He stopped in front of reporters, as he was asked about Palestine, relations with Europe and British Prime Minister Sir Keir.

Asked about French President Emmanuel Macron's decision to recognize the state of Palestine, Trump avoided harsh criticism, choosing a more diplomatic tone:

"That's what he does, it's in his hand, not in my hand," the US president said, adding that he "respects Macron, despite the differences."

Regarding a trade agreement between the United States and the European Union, Trump said there is a "50-50 chance" of achieving it, maintaining the skepticism he has previously shown on this sensitive economic issue.

Trump was noticeably more enthusiastic when he spoke about British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer:

"I like your Prime Minister, he's a little more liberal than I am, but he's a good man. He managed to close a trade deal that they had been discussing for 12 years. It's a good deal for the United Kingdom," Trump said, also confirming that he is expected to meet Starmer on Friday evening.

At the press conference, Trump was also asked about the Ghislaine Maxwell case and the files related to Jeffrey Epstein, a topic he has also pursued during international visits.

"I have nothing to say about that. She's talking to a very smart and very good man, Todd Blanch," Trump said, adding that many people are asking him to speak about a possible pardon for Maxwell, but that "this is not the time to talk about a pardon. Not now."
