She's tired of hiding in the glittering art scene in Paris: for the first time, Vladimir Putin's alleged daughter, Luiza Rozova, is speaking openly about her father and her life in exile in France and confronting the Russian president harshly. A small sensation, which the young woman, who has lived like a ghost until now, is taking with this step. BILD exclusively brings her most important statements.
"The person who took millions of lives and ruined my life": With these bitter words, the art graduate, born on March 3, 2003 in St. Petersburg as Elizaveta Krivonogikh, complains about Vladimir Putin on her Telegram channel. Back in 2020, the well-known Kremlin-critical platform "Proekt" had first revealed that she could be the despot's illegitimate daughter, and that her mother had suddenly become incredibly wealthy after giving birth.
Her father's name is missing from her birth certificate.
A strong indication, among others, is precisely in her birth certificate: the field for the father's name is empty, but as a middle name (the so-called "paternal name") appears "Wladimirovna", which means "daughter of Vladimir". In addition, there is a surprising similarity between them.
In June, the BILD newspaper undertook a research trip to Paris, where Luiza Rozova had already successfully completed the ICART Art Academy. The reporter met with artists who knew her from the "Galerie L" and the art center "Espace Albatros": "A very loving girl," was the common opinion. "She is not to blame for her parents."
Supporters of Russian opposition figure Alexei Navalny (†47), who died in a prison camp in Russia – and who are known to be very well-informed and excellent researchers into Putin's private life – discovered Luiza Rozova's Instagram profile in 2020. There she showed off her luxurious life as a DJ and private jet trips.
At first, she rejected an attempt to contact BILD via Instagram and an official interview request, but a little later she accepted the reporter into her Telegram group, "Art of Luiza".
In her Telegram group, Luiza Rozova has taken off her mask in recent days: instead of cropped photos showing only her legs or selfies with her hair in front of her face, she now appears openly. "It's so nice to show the world my face again." She says this is the only way she has to protest: "It reminds me every day of who I am and who ruined my life. The man who took millions of lives and ruined mine." She doesn't mention Putin's name directly.
She does not reveal when and where the photos were taken, but in the most recent photo she is sitting in a branch of the Russian cafe chain "Surf Coffee". According to her, after the events of February 2022 (meaning the beginning of the war in Ukraine), she left her country and was forced to cut off all social ties. Now she says she lives in a "golden cage". She writes: "I can't take an extra walk around my beloved St. Petersburg. I can't visit my favorite places or bars."
As for the suffering of Ukrainian and Russian families from the war, she mentions nothing.
Why can't she move freely in her homeland anymore? The reason, she says, is the hatred directed at her. The exiled Russian artist Nastya Rodionova announced in June that she was cutting ties with two of the aforementioned Parisian galleries because, she said, a beneficiary of the Russian regime was curating anti-war art there.
Even for this, the daughter who is thought to be Putin's, reacts for the first time in clear words:
"Am I really responsible for the activities of my family, who are not even able to listen to me?"
In her exile in Paris, Luiza Rozova is now trying to change her image. Previously, she was seen traveling the world by private jet, performing as a DJ in the most famous clubs and wearing clothes by famous designers.
Now, on Instagram, she condemns the war in Ukraine and on her Telegram channel questions the cult of luxury brands, saying:
"A nameless linen shirt can convey more truth than a silk dress from a well-known brand."
Her goal is to create her own jewelry brand.
Luiza Rozova refused BILD's repeated request for an interview, saying:
"I've received some great offers these days. I've had to turn them all down. Thank you for your offer."
So, she still wants to keep some secrets to herself. It would be good PR if her new jewelry brand were to come out one day./ BILD
