Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned that Europe will only be able to stand up to Russia if the United States cuts aid to Ukraine, but he said he was confident that would not happen.
"Europe alone will not be able to guarantee the help that Ukraine has received before, neither militarily nor financially," Zelensky said in an interview with the German channel Ard.
"Perhaps, even if all of Europe were united, it would not be able to provide sufficient support to Ukraine. The United States, however, has an influence, and when the signals are not very positive, it has an influence on some European leaders," Zelensky noted.
According to the head of the Ukrainian state, if the United States delays aid or support, this will also have an impact on a united Europe, but I believe that Europe will not remain alone", he concluded.
