Serbian lawyer Cedomir Stojkovic has stated that there is a real danger in the Balkans that Serbia will start an armed conflict.
Stojkovic made the comments in a link to Euronews Albania, where he said that the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, and the president of Republika Srpska in Bosnia, Milorad Dodik, will try with all means to change European policy in the Balkans.
He said that last year's attack in Banjska, in the north of Kosovo, is a clear indication that Serbia can organize other armed conflicts in the Balkans.
"I have the impression that Vučić expected more extremists in the EP, who go along with his policies, while it seems that the dominance will be the same. There will be no change in the EP's policy towards Serbia, because those changes were not that strong.
The extremists made progress in Parliament, but the change is not that big anyway. The EU will not change its policy towards Bosnia-Herzegovina, as it is impossible to change this policy.
To change a policy, it takes decades, and just a pair of EP elections is not enough. For the Balkans, the situation is clear, Bosnia is an independent sovereign country, Serbia as well, Albania and even Kosovo. What will change will be the efforts in the Balkans to change European politics.
And a question arises, will the efforts of Vucic and Dodik be peaceful or with armed conflicts. Any responsible official would say that they are not crazy to organize an armed conflict. But a year ago there was an attempt in Banjska, so this situation may seem unbelievable, but it can happen.
Today it seems unbelievable that some conflicts will arise in Bosnia, but it is very possible that it will happen", said Stojkovic.
