Expert Ilir Aliaj said that the West behaves cautiously with the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, because according to him, he is the lesser evil in that country.
Aliaj said that the American ambassador in Belgrade occasionally flatters Vučić and Serbia.
He also said that Russia has very great power in Serbia, as according to him, it has the support of 80% of the people, it controls the Police and the Army.
"Aleksandar Vucic, we know that he was a minister of Milosevic, etc. But on what ground is Vucic today and who are those who can succeed Vucic? These are the questions. Over 80% of the population in Serbia is pro-Russian. The Security Forces, including the army and the Police, are entirely in the hands of the Russians. I don't believe Vucic is pro-Western, but we have to look at things with a realistic eye.
