The mystery of unidentified aerial phenomena, commonly known as UFOs, has returned to the international spotlight following the release of a new series of declassified US documents that include reports of incidents near high-security military installations and areas associated with the United States' nuclear arsenal.
The fourth release was posted on the US Department of Defense website on Friday, accompanied by the message that "it's time for the American people to see for themselves," bolstering the public record that has been built on UAPs.

Among the new evidence are several military videos recorded by infrared sensors on US military platforms.
One of them, 18 seconds long, was recorded in 2025 over the Yellow Sea and shows a mysterious object with a shape described as eight-rayed or asteroid-shaped, hovering intermittently over East Asia.
In other footage, recorded in 2020, a dark object resembling a “jellyfish” appears to be hovering in the sky over the Atlantic Ocean. According to a report from the US Northern Command to the All-Area Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), the object was approximately 3 to 4.5 meters high and was moving with the wind, with analysts noting that it could also be a large, deformed balloon. The Department of Defense itself notes that the release of the video does not constitute an official conclusion regarding the identity of the object.
Of particular interest is a 1996 video from the former Navy UAP Task Force, which records a circular object with wing-like extensions moving over a mountainous area on the western side of the United States while being tracked by a military aircraft.

Among the most important documents is a Department of Energy report on an incident that occurred in September 2015 at the Pantex nuclear weapons plant in Texas, the main nuclear weapons assembly and disassembly facility in the US.
According to the report, radar detected an unidentified object flying just 100 to 200 meters above the carefully guarded facility. Security personnel who responded to the request described it as silent, diamond-shaped, and without any visible propulsion system.

According to the Department of Defense, the website hosting the declassified files has already attracted more than 1.7 billion visits worldwide, which, it says, reflects the unprecedented international interest in research into Unidentified Anomalies.
