The Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic, reacted to the discovery of the tunnel that led to the interior of the Supreme Court.
Abazovic, together with the Minister of Justice Marko Kovac and Minister of Internal Affairs Filip Ajic visited the apartment from where the tunnel to the Supreme Court was opened. Abazovic said that he will demand responsibility from the representatives of that institution and that there was an attempt to undermine the state.
"No matter how strong the mafia is financially, no matter how much support it has within the institutions of the system, including the judiciary, it will not defeat the country. We must take care that those who did this are brought to justice," Abazovic told reporters, adding that believes that the opening of the tunnel could not be done without help within the institution of the Supreme Court.
We remind you that a tunnel about 30 meters long has been discovered in Montenegro and this underground road leads to the interior of the Supreme Court.
According to the Malaysian media "Vijesti", the tunnel was opened by the mafia and this road gave them access to the High Court of Podgorica. It is learned that from the conducted investigations, it turns out that there is a criminal group behind the tunnel, as items belonging to a member of this group, Slobodan Kašćelan, were found there.
Vijesti writes that the tunnel was opened a month and a half ago. According to this information, the owners rented out the apartment in the basement of the building, in front of the court building, at the end of July.
The action was most likely carried out in August, while most of the employees in the state administration, including the Supreme Court, were on vacation.
