"I take my hat off to them, I hope they get rid of the black water" - But where has this guy been these 13 years?!
In another statement with his usual theatrical style, Edi Rama appears in public to comment on the investigation into the company Bankers Petroleum, which according to him owes the Albanian state 240 million euros.
With a controlled smile and a wish that sounds more like gentle irony towards himself, the Prime Minister says: "I take my hat off to the Fier Prosecutor's Office, I hope they get the black water out."
But the question that immediately arises is this: Where has he been these past 13 years?
For more than a decade in power, Edi Rama has signed, led, promoted and defended all strategic projects, concessions and energy agreements, including those related to Bankers. He has been prime minister at every table where the terms, permits, benefits and clauses have been set. He has been above every ministry and above every Investment Development Agency.
Now that the Prosecution is investigating, he says: "Bravo, I hope they succeed."
This is pure hypocrisy. No longer hidden behind technical phrases, but packaged in the most absurd form: a Prime Minister who behaves like an outside commentator, as if he hadn't been the man who commands every cell of the state for 13 years.
And here we are not simply faced with irresponsibility; but with a dangerous approach: Rama treats justice as a spectacle where he congratulates, cheers, or hisses as the case may be.
When he strikes one of his enemies, he exclaims: "This is justice in action!" When a file approaches his friends, he declares: "The Republic of Prosecutors"
Therefore, the Prime Minister resembles the character in the fable of the master Ferit Lamaj: Dullë Dardhaxhiu:
Dullë Dardhaxhiut,
the white-lipped monkey
Tinëz, behind his back
they planted pears.
Dullë Dardhaxhiu
Counts with his fingers:
They ate the pears,
This one they left their tails...
In Rama's version, he counts on his fingers and says: "They ate the apples behind my back, they washed my tails."
While the bitter reality is that they felled the tree together, he and the entire chain of beneficiaries of institutional silence.
Because there are no Bankers without political agreement. 240 million euros do not come out of nowhere.
If this is "Rama who knew nothing", then this is Albania that has not known what accountability means for 13 years./ Pamphlet
