Edi Rama did not have the courage to defend his list of MPs today, which is being called an innovation by propaganda, but which is not at all such to the public.
Rama has overthrown the entire Socialist Party, to bring to leadership, namely to the Albanian Parliament, people who have no connection to the party but to him personally.
Almost all of the closed SP lists in the regions have no connection to the Socialists. Some have connections to the DP and have been part of its lists, such as in Kukës or Vlora.
Most of them are characters that Edi Rama promoted on his podcast, selected, and ultimately ran for office without telling anyone.
Edi Rama has politically killed two lobbies in Albania; that of the Socialist Party of Tirana and the branches in the districts. In the Socialist Party of Tirana, Rama has placed himself, his ministers, plus Elisa Spiropali and Lindita Nikolla, as a political sign to suppress with fire and iron the SP that had been established throughout the district over the years under the leadership of Erion Veliaj.
Rama, today, has treated Erion Veliaj like Mehmet Shehu, Enver Hoxha, after Skënder's engagement to Silva Turdiu. He has declared him an enemy and has filled the capital with ministers, heading the list himself, as if to show that the party is him and his people, and not Erion Veliaj or the deputies with individuality. Meanwhile, he has left the important names in the PS in the open list slaughterhouse, where in all likelihood he has introduced them into a fratricidal war.
The SP that will emerge after May 11 will no longer be a left-wing political organization, but a structure of friends and servile servants of Edi Rama.
The inclusion in the closed list in Tirana of a character who has said that the prime minister is many steps ahead of us, while Erion Braçen has been put in the slaughterhouse, is a political signal to tell the socialists that you can only make a career if you venerate "comrade Enver".
In Shkodra, a successful woman in a private initiative has placed first on the list, but who politically represents neither the province nor the SP. The Socialists of Shkodra will vote for a 24-carat democrat like Onid Bejleri, or the successful neo-mountaineer of an agrotourism in the Koman valley, but who do not have a representative of their own today.
Meanwhile, on the other hand, there is no scruple in running Agron Çela's daughter as an MP, betraying Xhabija's mandate, as a sign of the new social-democratic beylers, who have blackened the life of the city for over 30 years.
But this erased socialist memory in Edi Rama's list is seen in all regions, where the maximum a SP representative can have is either a businessman like an oligarch of analysis laboratories in the Vlora region, or a supermarket owner who has benefited from public funds again in Vlora.
While Rama removed, without batting an eyelash, all the well-known names of socialists in Tirana, Durrës, Elbasan, Vlorë, Dibër etc., he did not touch the Qife lobby in Elbasan, where he kept his son-in-law and son. He did not touch Belinda Balluku's line in Vlorë and Fier, turning Gramoz Ruçi into the new socialist. The Fier list has over three names closely linked to Belinda, while Piro i Portit is in Vlorë.
It is clearly a purge list, which Edi Rama has drawn up to remove all those people who might think they want to take his position or create a competitive political lobby.
He has left, or rather put it better, only those people who declare veneration for him. All those who have politically defended him are on a closed list, those who have spoken about a policy of the Socialist Party are no longer on the list. The biggest victim is Lavdrim Krashi in Dibra. Catapulted from the diaspora, appointed in the 2021 elections as the head of the Dibra district, he was declassed after never publicly expressing an orgasm for Edi Rama, like some others. Krashi has even been an interlocutor of many Western embassies in the country, namely the British and German ones.
Rama seems to have eliminated him for this reason as well. Because he is preparing an SP, which is marking his political end. But even in the end, he should not surrender to his opponents.
