SPAK has chosen a very symbolic day to arrest one of Edi Rama's closest and strongest people in his government.
Exactly on the day of his birthday, when the Prime Minister turns 60 years old, Ilir Beqja was arrested, who has been under investigation for some time and the file has started in the Special Court.
But today, Ilir Beqja, has not been arrested for the "old crime"; that of the PPP of sterilization, for a faster criminal offense, which he committed in the third mandate of Edi Rama.
Exactly, in 2022, Edi Rama brought Beqje closer to the government, appointing him head of the State Agency for Strategic Programming and Aid Coordination, SASPAC, which manages large foreign funds.
And control, during this work, Ilir Beqaj contradicted Edi Rama's thesis that "there are no 2-meter-tall thieves", passing the aid funds to a restaurant where his wife was a partner.
So we are dealing with a fresh new file, which proves that the man who causes the most of Rama in the government, but also in the party, "has not stopped putting his hands" in public funds.
While in the case of sterilization, Ilir Beqja remained in the investigation of the free status, as it seems he had a strong appearance, it looks like a "bomb" from above.
Because Ilir Beqja could have been arrested two days ago, or the next day, but a symbolic day has been found, which is Edi Rama's birthday and is also the USA Independence Day.

Beqja took the post of head of the Agency in November 2022 and resigned in November last year, the Special Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office started investigations against him for the sterilization concession. Arrest warrants have been issued for nine other people, while the official announcement is awaited.
The former Minister of Health is accused of the sterilization concession file, while on March 18 he was also charged with abuse of office carried out in cooperation.
For the sterilization, 8 more defendants were taken, among them the former deputy minister Klodian Rrjepaj and the beneficiary of the Concession Ilir Rrapaj, both in handcuffs since August last year.
