Continuous and unstoppable emigration, especially in recent years, has caused strong consequences in the social and economic life of the country.
According to the data, more than 478 thousand citizens have left since 2014 through legal emigration alone. But the real number of those who have left the country is very high, if we consider illegal immigration. But emigration is not only an Albanian phenomenon. What is worrying are the high rates.
According to the data of the European Institute of Statistics, Albania has the highest level of immigration in the region. While the country with the lowest level is Montenegro.
But what are the reasons that force Albanians to emigrate? Family reasons are listed first, followed by employment. The reasons for a better workplace have intensified in recent years. In third place is the need for better quality education.
But emigration at high levels, especially of young people, has consequences for the country. This is because it reduces the number of the population; makes her aging; causes labor force shortages in the labor market; shrinks consumption and lowers the productivity of the economy./ A2CNN
