The Competition Authority has gathered facts that the companies producing milk and milk by-products, Erzeni, Gjirofarma, Lufra, SHAKA Boboshtice LLC, have abused the prices and because of this, an in-depth investigation will be conducted against them.
The Competition Commission, in its meeting on 29.12.2023, considered the investigative procedure against the enterprises Erzeni LLC, Gjirofarma LLC, ADG LLC (Lufra), SHAKA Boboshtică LLC in the market of production and wholesale of dairy by-products (cheese and butter). Referring to the analysis of the market of production and wholesale of milk by-products, it results that the behavior of companies with significant market shares, Erzeni SHPK, Gjirofarma SHA, ADG SHPK (Lufra), SHAKA Boboshticë SHPK, may constitute abuse of a dominant position according to Article 9 of Law no. 9121/2003.
For these reasons, the Competition Commission with Decision no. 1045, dated 29.12.2023, decided to open the in-depth investigation procedure against the enterprises Erzeni SHPK, Gjirofarma SHA, ADG SHPK (Lufra), SHAKA Boboshticë SHPK, in the market of production and wholesale of milk by-products. The in-depth investigation will cover the time period from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2023.
