Every fluctuation of the European currency in the Albanian market has started to affect the transactions carried out in euros. The high-value interbank payment system, AIPS, which enables both individuals and businesses to make transfers and payments with low commissions, registered around 26,240 transfers in total, marking a decrease of 12.5% compared to May.

Although they are an indication of the high level of use of the Euro in internal economic transactions, payments in Euros from AIPS also fell in value, to 368 million euros from 445 million euros a month ago.

2.3 billion euros of transactions were carried out in the first half of the year. Despite the fact that for a transfer of 100,000 euros, businesses pay less than 50 euros in commission, while for payments smaller than 10,000 euros the commission is up to 6 euros, the uncertainties from the exchange rate are affecting individuals in these payments./ A2CNN
